The original frontage was a classic case of a home with great bones but a tired exterior. The faded cream weatherboards and dated green accents felt stuck in the past, while the existing timber porch was narrow, weathered, and lacked any real functionality. Structurally, the deck was showing its age, and the overall entry lacked the "wow factor" needed for modern curb appeal.
This wasn't just a lick of paint, it was a complete structural and aesthetic reboot. We stripped back the old facade and replaced it with a contemporary grey-and-white palette, instantly modernising the home's profile. The centerpiece of the renovation is the significantly expanded timber deck. We built out the footprint to create a usable outdoor space, finished with custom white X-brace (Hamptons-style) balustrading for a premium look. To anchor the design, we installed a signature bold red front door, providing a sharp contrast against the charcoal-painted subfloor and new roof.
